October 5th and November 30 involved battles that were unlike any others. They were not battles of wits or strength but of talent. Students performed their many skills such as singing, playing musical instruments, and theatric presentations.
The acts were extremely entertaining from the first to the last. The performers had obviously rehearsed carefully due to their levels of professionalism.
Dan Hulsman, a member of the group Outta 'Sync, said, "It's different the second time around, and it's a shame that we won't be able to get together to pull off any other crazy stunts like this." This was the

second time that Outta 'Sync performed.
The winners of the October   Talent Explosion were: third place- David Hamilton, second place- Outta 'Sync, first place- Chana Kuhns.  The November Talent Explosion had more acts competing, so they were judged by category: Theatre presentation- Taneisha Cooper, Instrumentalist- Kevin Taylor, Band- 8th Step Sharp, and Vocalist- Cristin Miller.
Naturally, the performers did not participate simply to win.  Christina Rockwell,  member of the Monty Python Revival, said, "We did it strictly for laughs, and we certainly did that."  So, be sure to go to the January Talent Show and experience the fun for yourself.
