The Special Needs Alert Program, “ SNAP” and was developed by the Department of Health and Human Services to assist you in caring for your child in the event of an emergency.  If your child has an chronic health issue such as Asthma, Diabetes, a medication/food allergy I encourage you to enroll him/her in this program.  Your child’s medical information will be on file with the EMS system in the event that there is an emergency at home or at school.  This program assists the EMS team in better preparing for emergency care for your child by having pertinent information available to them prior to their arrival at the scene of an emergency to care for your child.
